ABOUT THE WORK:
The Me Too movement has opened a global dialogue and raised awareness about sexual violence. Inspired from this moment, I portray a young girl who has fallen prey to sexual assault. Her serious and determined expression, represents her emotions and feelings. It captures the emotional impact on her, reflects her experience. The painting with its green and blue hues, evokes a sense of melancholy and despair as the girl sits and cries. Sexual assault is a social crime that inflicts immense trauma and pain on the victim, leaving a deep scar on their hearts and minds.
